Kreuziger the Flying Czech Wins Tour of Switzerland!

Team Liquigas' Roman Kreuziger flew to victory in Saturday's uphill time trial up the Klausenpass to claim the yellow leader’s jersey. Sunday's final stage into Bern was won by Fabian Cancellara with no changes in the overall, giving Kreuziger the final win.

Pellizotti Climbs To Victory!

Liquigas' Franco Pellizotti recovered from his difficult weekend in the Dolomites that saw him lose 1'26" on his major rivals by winning the difficult mountain time trial to Plan de Corones. With the win, Pellizotti jumped two places into fifth overall in the general classification and remains hopeful of a podium finish in Milan.

Bennati Takes Stage Nine In A Close Sprint

One week after his first-ever Giro stage win, Team Liquigas' Daniele Bennati claimed his second. Bennati chose the perfect wheel from which to launch his winning sprint at the ninth stage in San Vincenzo. With 200 meters to go, Benna accelerated hard and got an immediate gap. Only Paolo Bettini was able to follow and eventually close the gap, only to lose by a quarter-wheel.

Liquigas already in pink!

Franco Pellizotti finished fourth in yesterday's stage to Agrigento and takes over the pink jersey by one second!  "I won't hide the fact that my intention is to arrive in Milan with this jersey. The team is very motivated and we want to honor this Tour of Italy. Personally though, I want to show to the others and even to myself that I am going truly well," commented Pelli after the stage.
