So what is Sobe/Cannondale rider Ben Thompson's favorite/least favorite thing about living in Bend, OR?

 - High on the list of perks are the hundreds of miles of singletrack literally his back door.
 - Lows in Bend?  Finding work can be a challenge.  Nobody actually works here.

Winter arrives for Oregon cyclocross

Wow, think the photo probably says it all. Fall has officially turned to winter here in Oregon for the latest round of the uber-popular Cross Crusade. Barton Park hosted Race #6 of the 8 race series once again bringing out over 1000 racers plus fans, family and general cyclocross nar-do-wells.

Cannondale-sponsored Michael Teuber's Gold and Silver at the Paralympics in Beijing

Ivan Basso Signs In For Japan Cup 2008

Ivan Basso and Team Liquigas were presented in Utsunomia’s Orion Square Saturday evening. The Japanese public gave Ivan a very enthusiastic reception, with large crowds waiting for a glimpse of the returning star.

Hallow-CX'ing at the Cross Crusade

Dubbed the largest cyclocross series in the world, The Cross Crusade is something to behold.  1200+ racers on a weekly basis, plus fans, friends and family all out cheering and partying down Belgium-style.  Portland takes its cyclocross racing seriously; Waffles and pommes-frites are sold by the hundreds, Chris King and Co. are out serving up delicious hot coffee while fixing up people bikes and Bob's Red Mill supplies the whole scene with hot oatmeal complete with butter, brown sugar and raisins just like Mom used to make it - incredible.  Amazing how fast you go from skinny waist and fat tires during the summer to the opposite when the weather starts cooling down and the leaves dropping.

Powers, Butler Lead Cyclocross Standings

Following last weekend's USGP races in Louisville, Kentucky, Jeremy Powers (Cyclocrossworld.com - Cannondale) still leads the USA Cycling National Calendar rankings, while Sue Butler (Monavie - Cannondale moved past Amy Dombroski into the lead.
